Shiva purana is one of the holy scripture for Hindus. It primarily centers about Lord Shiva and Parvathi. There is 24,000 slokas in book. It is divided in 7 samhita with detail and each samhita divided into adhyays. 1. Crescent Moon Crescent moon on Lord Shiva's head symbolize that his control over time, since the lord is eternal reality. He is the beginning and end of things in the universe. 2.
